Ich bekam vor ein paar Wochen eine Anfrage des Sleeveface-Gruppen Mitgründers Ewan Jones Morris (er hat den youtube-Film „How to Sleeveface“ gemacht), ob ich nicht zwei Sleeveface-Fotos für eine Ausstellung im Rahmen des Swn Festivals in Cardiff/Wales zur Verfügung stellen könne. Es ist natürlich eine Ehre, mit zwei Fotos dabei zu sein, die ich mit Renè Rödiger im Sommer gemacht habe.
Die Ausstellung findet in dieser Woche statt, vom Freitag, 7.11. bis Samstag, 15.11.. Am Sonntag, dem 16.11. wird zudem noch ein Sleeveface Workshop im National Museum of Wales veranstaltet.
Sleeveface is the art of holding a sleeve in front of your face and snapping it. It’s a phenomenom that has found friends around the world, and was born in Cardiff by Swn founder John Rostron and Carl Morris. The Sleeveface book is published in November and you should get one for Christmas. At Swn this year we are hosting the debut Sleeveface Exhibtion at the G39 Gallery on Mill Lane in Cardiff. On Sunday Nov 16th there will be a Sleeveface workshop at the National Museum of Wales.
